The time has come to wrap up the CRM blog, but fear not it will rise again as Perfect Pitch. Perfect Pitch will focus on the strategic and tactical elements of successful integrated marketing and public relations campaigns.
I recently took a new position at a Chicago PR firm called Walker Sands, giving up corporate marketing for the fast paced agency environment. I’ll miss the CRM consulting world of Technology Advisors, but this new position gives me access to new techniques, new people, and most importantly, new businesses. If you can’t tell, I’m pretty excited.
I plan to cover a lot, so I hope you’ll check back often. We’ll discuss everything from print advertising tips to mastering Search Engine Marketing. You’ll get an occasional book review, and we’ll dive into Web 2.0 promotional tools like YouTube and the blogosphere (by the way I hate that term). Most importantly everything will be practical and easily applicable to your business. This is a Duct Tape Marketing blog after all.
For anyone now without a source of good CRM information, I highly suggest signing up for the Sales & Marketing Advisor or the CRM & Technology Management Newsletter. Both are excellent newsletters produced by Technology Advisors. The first provides a good place for beginners to learn about CRM and other relevant sales and marketing tips, while the latter focuses on advanced CRM users of SalesLogix CRM.
If you’re looking for more of a blog, there’s not much out there. Your best bet is to pressure Sam Biardo or Mark Rastovac of Technology Advisors into starting a CRM blog. They are two of the most intelligent people in the CRM world and have been in the industry long enough to offer some fantastic advice.
So that’s the story. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading Nailing Customers (With CRM) as much as I have enjoyed writing it. I’m really pumped to begin this next phase of my life and offer you insight into the knowledge that comes along with it. Look for Perfect Pitch to launch in the coming month. See you in May!
